Geormarys O’Reilly
Treatment Coordinator
Gladys Cannon Nunery School /
PS #29

My name is Geormarys O’Reilly. I was born in the vibrant city of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. At the age of ten, I migrated to the United States with my family, embarking on a journey that would shape my future. Overcoming the initial challenges of adapting to a new culture, I was able to quickly learn English at school and soon became fully fluent in both English and Spanish.
I describe myself as passionate about giving back to the community. I am dedicated to helping parents and students navigate the complexities of support systems. I understand the challenges faced by immigrant families and strive to empower them with the resources they need to succeed. Whether through workshops or bilingualism access, it all has made a lasting impact in the lives of those that I am able to serve.

Brandon Syfrett
Treatment Coordinator
Mahatma K. Gandhi School / PS#23

Hello, my name is Brandon Syphrett and I am the treatment coordinator at PS 23. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from NJCU, right here in Jersey City. Before starting here I was a former Marine after finishing high school in 2011. Since then I have wanted to work in the community that has offered me so much. I was lucky enough to be Chief of Staff to Councilman James Solomon in Ward E of Jersey City. I began working in private equity, but quickly found myself back in Jersey City wanting to give back. I am blessed and grateful to be part of a system that is helping children succeed when they need it most.
