19 students at The New Roberto Clemente School received optical care examinations on May 8 during a Main Street Optical visit. According to Treatment Coordinator, Diana Claudio, students at NRC continue to receive optical care, pointing out that 10 students received glasses in April.

NRC Celebrates Earth Day with Hands-On Science
Celebrating Earth Day, students at New Roberto Clemente School engaged in a hands-on science project, germinating and planting pinto bean seeds. Full Service Community Schools sponsored the event, giving students the opportunity to explore the early stages of seedlings, as well as learning the conditions necessary to sustain plant growth—water, air, and warmth. Students at Al Moody enjoyed learning about Yoga Relaxation techniques to quell the fears and anxieties connected to testing. Students enjoyed practicing yoga, meditation, and breathing techniques at the May 7 workshop.
