Students at Rev. Dr. Frank Napier, Jr. School of Science and Technology learned the fundamentals of MyPlate and the importance of food groups at a "MyPlate" event on November 3. Considering the health qualities of fruits, vegetables, protein, dairy, and grains, students were able to identify foods and place them in the correct group after the lesson. Eastside HS Students Enjoy "Healthy Bites" Event During Lunch Periods
Students at Eastside High School were introduced to alternative healthy snack ideas and were given the chance to create their own. Students customized smoothie bowls to their liking during lunch periods on Oct. 23, aided by FSCS nutritionist, Kelli Petit, and Treatment Coordinator, Dennis Rojas.
