Students at ATM enjoyed a TIP THE SCALE NUTRITION WORKSHOP on December 5 & 6 during their gym periods. Stressing the importance of a balanced diet and exercise regime, the FSCS Health Clinic event included a presentation and a MyPlate relay race.
“Especially with students getting older, it is important to understand our main sources of nutrition, macros, and how our body responds to them,” said Shalika Ulloa, FSCS Operation Manager.
After the race, students enjoyed a protein smoothie made by FSCS nutrition team members. They also engaged in a conversation on how to refuel after an eventful day. Students walked away with a better understanding of balanced exercise and nutrition.
